"The Greedy One" was originally on our menu as Stop 4 of the World Sandwich Series but so many of you asked for it back we had to oblige!

With fresh baked focaccia from Trawool Bakery, premium Free Range Mortadella, Creamy Buratta/Stracciatella, freshly sliced Tomato topped with a tangy Basil Pesto we have your next lunch sorted!

You all loved it the first time around so we've bought it back!
Previously known as the Golosa, The Greedy One has inspired us to bring you some more fresher sandwiches with our newly expanded menu available now!

Mortadella, Creamy Buratta cheese, Sliced Tomatoes and tangy Basil Pesto all in a fresh Focaccia from the Bakery next door. What's not to love?

Hi everyone we have some important news we wanted to share with you all:

1. Our World Sandwich Series has been a lot of fun, letting us bring you new flavours from around the world. Unfortunately we are finding it hard to not revisit countries so we will be pausing the adventure for a while whilst focusing on new regular menu items.
The good news is some of your favourites will be returning permanently to our menu (and one has already snuck on there with the Sanduiche De Mortadella!) with The Golosa and Jerk Chicken both making a return to the menu permanently along with some other new flavours. Stay tuned for some sneak peeks at the new menu items.

2. Unfortunately with the rising cost of our goods and labour we have had to review our pricing structure. There will be a small increase in price on most items on Monday August 3rd which will enable us to keep serving up the quality food and service you expect from us.

3. On Monday August 3rd our weekday hours will be changing to 6.30am to 3pm. As a lot of you know thanks to the amazing @danieldaley we have been opening at 6.30am so you can get your favourite coffee on the way to work.
We hope this change in hours will only be temporary and will be reviewing our opening hours again in the coming months.

We also wanted to thank you all for your incredible support through our first 5 months here at Cafe Kahvila, it's been an amazing experience getting to meet you all and we hope to see you enjoying our new expanded menu soon!

For a limited time only we are serving up our regular Korvapuusti along with some with a chocolate twist. Same delicious Cardamom bread, a hint of cinnamon and sugar but with an added layer of mixed milk and dark chocolate.

Try them and let Keegan know what you think (and hide them from any Finnish friends!)

As we say goodbye to Stop 6, the Finnish Porilainen, we are ready to stamp your passport with our next stop Mexico!

Whilst we know we are definitely stretching the definition of sandwich with this one, Quesabirria Tacos are just too delicious not to bring to the table!

Tender beef slow cooked in a rich sauce of Guajillo, Arbol and Ancho chillis, shredded and spread over a corn tortilla along with Mexican cheese and diced onion. Served with a wedge of lime, extra consume for saucing it up and some fresh salsa, these are guaranteed to get your taste buds doing the Jarabe Tapatío!

We’re proudly waving the 🇫🇮🇫🇮🇫🇮 starting this week with our World Sandwich Special #6, the Porilainen!

This hearty and filling sandwich is a famous street food in the Finnish cuisine that was borne out of the ingenuity of students at the University of Helsinki in the 1950s quickly becoming a staple amongst the uni crowd. It comes with slices of sausage, we use Tiroler, pickled dill cucumber, sweet white onion, cheese tomato relish and mustard. If you’re feeling extra, ask for an egg as a perfect combo!

The world Sandwich Series Stop 6 is brought to you by the country that brought us the name "Kahvila" and the delicious Korvapuusti cinnamon scrolls that you all know and love (we've destroyed two stand mixers making them!)

As we wave goodbye to the USA we hop across the pond to what some call the mecca of sandwiches, Italy!

For stop 4 we would like to introduce the “Golosa”. Originally introduced by the famous Italian Sandwich house All’Antico Vinaio, the name roughly translates to “The Greedy One”, an affectionate term for someone who loves food used in Italy.
